Today was the day when the doctor performed the dreaded skin prick tests. If you’ve had these done before, you’ll know that they want to make you scratch, scratch and scratch some more!
I met Dr Agrawal who was sooo kind and lovely. We went through my allergy history again and he explained what tests he’d be running on me. We started with skin prick tests.
On my forearms, he tested all environmental allergens. You can see below that I am very environmental and my arms just seemed to explode!
On my back, he tested for tree nuts, peanuts and egg. These are the allergens that I have been diagnosed with and have avoided for a long time.
Peanut came up straight away and was pretty uncomfortable. This was followed by a small reaction to hazelnut but the others were negative which was a huge relief!
Tomorrow, I return for my blood tests and to see what the next part of the plan is.
